Reading
PARP (Parents As Reading Partners) - A month long themed program in the winter to encourage reading at home.
READ (Reading Energizes At Dudley) - Provides a new book to child in their birthday month
School Community
Family Nights - Evening with activities, crafts, movies, food and music.
School Spirit - Provides discount admission opportunities to Strong and Rochester Museums.
Community Involvement - Assist in community support efforts.
Square One Art - Sale of products with your child’s logo
Back to School
Bus Caboose & First Day Friends - Coordinate with teachers to help students depart on the bus.
Bus Greeter - Greet the children as they arrive at school.
Bus Safety - PTA provides materials to students, staff and parents on school bus safety.
Cafeteria Orientation - Coordinates volunteers to help students in the cafeteria for the first 2 weeks of school.
School Pictures - Portraits of the students taken in the fall.
Communication
Connections - Dudley/Northside PTA newsletter
Newsletter - Monthly publication on PTA activities
Web Page - Maintain Dudley PTA web site
Parent Education - Provides parents with current information on parenting, involvement, etc.
Fundraising
Kathryn Beich Fundraiser - Sells goods to collect funds to conduct programs.
Book Fair - Each spring the school allows students along with their teacher and/or parents time to preview and purchase books.
Corporate Promotions - The PTA participates in General Mills boxtops for Education, etc.
Classroom
Room Parents - Coordinates the selection of room parents who assist the teacher in providing parties.
Math Action - Games are played in the classroom to encourage mathematical thinking.
Science Action - Hands on science lab program.
Nature Center Program - Schedules the outreach school programs for Dudley classes.
Explore - Arrange for educational backpacks to go home with students one class at a time.
Cultural Arts - PTA coordinates guest artists, visiting authors and theatrical experiences for all Dudley.
New to School
Kindergarten Registration - Hand out t-shirts and pamphlets to new kindergarten parents.
Kindergarten Screening - Hand out books to new kindergarten parents.
Other
Book Publishing - Student publications are typed and covered by PTA volunteers.
Gifts & Greetings - Recognize staff birthdays and other special occasions.
Hospitality - Provides refreshments at PTA Meetings. Organize staff appreciation lunch in May.
Red Ribbon Week - Promotes healthy, drug free life choices.
SDMT - Shared Decision Making Team discussing decisions about how to improve student achievement.
Staff Appreciation - A time to honor teachers and support staff by hosting a spring luncheon and providing a gift.
